Configuring Campaign Monitor

This article runs through the steps required to setup Campaign Monitor integration. When complete, purchasers of your digital products will have their email address automatically added to your mailing list in Campaign Monitor.

Start by logging into your account and clicking the Account Settings link along the top of the page. Scroll down to the API Key section and either copy the key or click the button to generate one if you haven't got one already:

Paste the API Key into the "Mailing List" section under the Account tab in Digital Delivery App. Next click the Clients link along the top of the page in Campaign Monitor and choose the correct client/account from the options on the left:

On the next screen click the "List & Subscribers" tab and choose the list you'd like to add email addresses to:

Then click the "change name/type" link above the graph:

Scroll to the bottom of the page and copy the API Subscriber List ID:

And paste this in Digital Delivery App alongside the API Key.

If you're using a mailing list to market to your customers at a later date, it is important that you warn customers of this on your website. Purchases going through Google Checkout have a checkbox where buyers can opt-out of any mailing list and even use an anonymous email address. Digital Delivery App honors this - ie buyers unchecking the box on Google Checkout will not be added to your list. Other gateways do not offer this option so buyers are assumed to be safe to add to your mailing list and hence the need for a message on your website.
